Around Posting — Use the App Before and After a Post
Around posting decides whether a phone uses the app like a person a few minutes before a post is due, after it went live, both, or neither. It is off until you turn it on: out of the box the phone only posts, checks the post is on the profile and leaves. It never closes the app while an upload is still running.
Where do I find it?
Open Automation, the tab Keep it alive, and Around posting. The Default card applies to all your accounts; + Own setting for some accounts gives some of them their own.
How do I turn it on?
Click Edit on the Default card and move some of the 100 % away from Neither — for example Only after 60 % and Before and after 40 % — then Save.
Does it stay in the niche?
Yes — never outside the niche. The phone only likes, comments on and follows what fits the account's niche. Accounts without a niche only get the profile check.
Which settings are there?
The page opens with an overview of cards, like your warm-up plans:
- Default — what every account does unless it has its own setting. The card shows the setting, how many accounts follow it and their profile pictures.
- One card per own setting — the accounts that do something different, with an own setting badge. Back to the default on the card puts them back.
- + Own setting for some accounts starts a new one.
Edit on a card opens it in two steps, like the warm-up wizard:
1 · Which accounts — All accounts or Chosen accounts. Search on the left, or click one of your groups; the table shows every account with its apps and status, and a green line under the name when it does something different. Step 2 only opens once something is picked.
2 · What they do — the cards for whatever you picked, and one Save at the bottom that stays in view while you scroll. With chosen accounts you can save right away (they get their own setting, even if you keep the numbers); for the default it turns on once you change something:
- Around posting — four shares that add up to 100 %. For every post one of them is drawn:
- Neither — the phone posts, checks the post on the profile and leaves. Nothing before, no scrolling after.
- Only before — a few minutes in the app before the post is due, nothing after.
- Only after — stays in the app after posting while the upload runs, nothing before.
- Before and after — both.
- Together shows the sum; Save only works at exactly 100 %. Set Neither to 100 % and the phone never does anything around a post.
- At least and At most are your own minutes (1–30 and 1–60); the real length is random in between.
- Likes — Like videos and How many likes: Few, Normal or Many.
- Search — search your Search keywords now and then, and How often: Rarely, Sometimes or Often.
- Comments — Read comments, Write comments, and How many: A few (0–1), Some (0–2) or More (1–4).
- Profiles — Visit creator profiles, Follow creators and How many follows.
- Instagram — Watch stories.
After saving you are back on the overview and see which card the accounts are in now. Every account is always in exactly one card — picking an account for an own setting takes it out of the default (or out of the card it was in). Cancel or ‹ All settings leaves without saving.
Why does it say "Paused by the Profit Phones team"?
Sometimes we pause this step for all phones, for example while we improve it. Your settings are kept and apply again as soon as it is back.
Can my team change these settings?
People with control rights can. Others see Your role can see these settings but not change them.
Does it cost credit?
Yes, the minutes around a post use Automation credit like any other activity. Pick a lower chance or fewer minutes to spend less, or give single accounts their own setting in the table below.
