Groups — Organise Phones and Accounts
Groups in Profit Phones are made on the Accounts page, and the device grid uses them as a filter. A phone belongs to every group that one of its accounts is in. So if you group your accounts by client, niche or project, you can show just the phones of that client on My devices.
How do I create a group?
- Open Accounts.
- In the Groups section, click Manage.
- Click New group, type a group name and save.
- Open an account and pick the group in its Group field (or type a new group name there).
Accounts without a group are listed under Ungrouped. All accounts shows everything.
How do I rename or remove a group?
Click Manage next to Groups. There you can Rename group, change the order with Move up and Move down, or remove it with Dissolve group — accounts stay. Dissolving a group never deletes accounts; they just become ungrouped.
How do I see only the phones of one group?
On My devices, open the Group filter in the panel next to the grid and pick the group. The grid then shows only the phones whose accounts are in that group. All groups brings everything back. The filter is part of your personal view and does not change what your team sees.
Can I give an assistant only one group?
Access for team members is set per phone, not per group. When you edit a member, choose Device access and pick the phones they may use — for example the phones of one client. See Team and assistant access.
